Chuck Norris puts verbal fist to girl-hating Taliban face

Writing over at Townhall, Chuck Norris shows his articulate side in a post titled: “Thomas Jefferson and a 16-year-old vs. Islamists”.

Everybody’s favorite fictional Texas Ranger is a good Conservative guy, as most of y’all know.  Some of y’all may not know, though, that Chuck is also a regular contributor at Townhall, writing some good stuff for them.  The post linked above is Part One of Chuck’s two-parter on education, and well worth y’all’s time.  Chuck has this to say about Malala Yousufzai, the Pakistani girl who survived being shot in the head for her words about educating young girls:

Malala is a wiser warrior than any extremist leader. She knows that the Taliban are afraid of educated women because they know that women’s freedom would mean their loss of control and demise. They fear that women will know the truth and the truth will set them free.

In comparing Malala to Thomas Jefferson, Chuck writes:

Jefferson would have concurred with Malala about the power of education. In his 1818 report for the University of Virginia — which he founded — he asked: “What but education has advanced us beyond the condition of our indigenous neighbors? And what chains them to their present state of barbarism and wretchedness but a bigoted veneration for the supposed superlative wisdom of their fathers and the preposterous idea that they are to look backward for better things, and not forward, longing, as it should seem, to return to the days of eating acorns and roots, rather than indulge in the degeneracies of civilization?”

Of course Chuck Norris kicks butt on EVERY level.  A good warrior develops the mind as well as the body, and I think we can all agree that Mr. Norris takes his own mental development as seriously as his Kung Foo skills.

Since y’all have read this far, you deserve a reward.  While playing the video below, imagine that David Carradine’s character stood between a little girl and her Math textbook.
