IRS Chief Has Troubles in the House

John Koskinen, head of the IRS, has, as previously reported here, drawn the ire of the House Freedom Caucus, if not necessarily all of the House Republicans.  Koskinen took over the IRS after it came out that the IRS was allegedly targeting Conservative organizations way back in 2013.  Today, the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Jason Chaffetz met to discuss impeachment proceedings against Mr. Koskinen.

Koskinen was asked to attend today’s meeting, but has declined to do so.

As y’all will see if you click on the links above, there is resistance from the REPUBLICAN leadership in the House to impeaching Koskinen.  I don’t know exactly what Paul Ryan and the other Republicans are thinking with regard to the interests of the American people in this matter, but we do know where Chaffetz, Ron DeSantis, and Jim Jordan stand.  Take a look at the embedded video, and see how Rep. Jim Jordan from Ohio lays out the case against Koskinen in the Judiciary Committtee meeting this morning.  I don’t know about y’all, but I’m rooting for Jordan, Chaffetz, and DeSantis.
