Obama Meets With Republicans On Sequester…For Seven Whole Minutes
In an effort to show that he is not the dictator he pretends to be, President Obama met with Republican leadership, yesterday, to discuss ways to stop those drastic cuts that will happen as a result of sequestration.
Yep. They met for a whopping SEVEN minutes.
Instead of spending his days trying to work with the opposition, The President has been taking his case to the public through his state controlled media outlets (you know, NBC, ABC, CBS and MSNBC) and speaking tours.
For instance, yesterday Obama took to a shipyard in Newport News, Va. where he said, “I’m not interested in playing a blame game.” All I’m interested in is solving problems. I want us to be able to look back five years from now, 10 years from now, and say we took care of our business and we put an end to some of these games that maybe, I guess, are entertaining for some but are hurting too many people.”
We are not entertained, Mr. President; Nor are we amused.
This is our leadership, ladies and gentlemen. Gone are the days when Presidents will meet with Congressmen or Senators to come to some sort of agreement that will benefit everyone. In this era of Obamanomics, The President uses the media to plead his case directly to the people. Of course, that also means that the people will only get one side of the debate. Particularly, when he can control EXACTLY what message the media puts out.
And woe unto the journalist that calls into question any of The President’s policies or methods. Just ask Bob Woodward. As referenced in yesterday’s article, those who buck the White House will “regret that move.”
Uncle Joe Stalin would be so proud. Fidel Castro is beaming. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is ecstatic.
And we, the people….Well…We just don’t count, anymore.
