Putting Words Into Action

I saw THIS on The Blaze this morning and thought it was a really great idea. So, this Friday, join us on the square in Jacksonville, at noon as we pray for OUR men and women in Law Enforcement, here and around the country.

If you’ve listened to our broadcast during the last year, you’ve heard Casey and I end every show with the scripture 2Chronicles 7:14.

“If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them. I will forgive their sins and I will HEAL THEIR LAND.”

I, along with my beautiful wife Tina and some of our co-workers believe very strongly in that scripture. A few weeks ago, during one of our many discussions, we decided if ever there was a time to put that scripture into action, that time is NOW. Since the radio station at which we work is right near a beautiful town square in the city of Jacksonville, Al ( a college town, I might add), we decided that that would make the perfect spot to meet, once a week during our lunch break, there on the town square and PRAY; Pray for our churches, Pray for our city, our state, our NATION. It began with just Jelena. Then, it was Jelena and Tina. More of us joined them the following weeks. We are few but we are humble and we are SERIOUS about publicly declaring our faith in the power of prayer; not for the sake of self-glorification; Rather, a public glorification of God, the Father, our Divine Providence.

If you believe that any part of the aforementioned scripture is true, join us every Wednesday at noon, WHEREVER you may be (or by all means, if you’re able, join us on the square) and just say a small prayer for this country, it’s churches and it’s people. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate. Just a simple acknowledgement to let God know we haven’t forgotten Him or the Grace He’s bestowed on this nation.
