Video of President Obama Resurfaces…Reportedly Shows “True Nature”…Conservatives say, “Well Duhhhh”

Obama Power Meme

I love it when I’m scrolling through my Facebook News Feed and see a Headline that says something about new audio or video of someone in the Obama Administration that has magically “resurfaced”. The past few days have not been a disappointment. I’ve seen Hillary (Okay, she’s not a current member but she still counts) staging “impromptu” meetings with “Real People”. I’ve seen some pretty funny stuff with Harry Reid. The one that really caught my attention, though, is a video from 1995 that shows a young(er) Barack Obama reading some excerpts from his book “Dreams From My Father”. I’ll post it here so that you can watch it, if you haven’t already seen it. It’s not totally boring. I actually made it all the way through.

There have been several articles written about this over the past few days. Here’s one from The Universal Free Press. Here’s a really good one from The American Thinker.

You can bet there’ll be much made in the New Media about this video. You can also bet you won’t hear much of anything about this from the more mainstream outlets. The fact is, I don’t really know what to make of it, myself. It’s nothing I hadn’t heard before. I vividly remember telling everyone I could back in 2007 that they really needed to read Obama’s book before they cast their vote for him. It wasn’t because I was offended by the book in any way. It was more because I felt it would give people an insight into his personality and character that wouldn’t be shown on the nightly news or any other mainstream media outlet, for that matter.

Also, exactly what good is it doing to show this stuff NOW? Why now?!!? Is this anything new? No. My only guess is that perhaps by shining a light on his character now, we can apply how we feel about these things to those seeking office in the future that hold these same values and beliefs.

If you find no fault with this man or his policies, values or beliefs, then cast your vote for those that would echo his. Likewise, if what you see/hear doesn’t sit well with you, then vote accordingly.

To me, the biggest message, here is this:

EDUCATE YOURSELF ABOUT THE CANDIDATES BEFORE YOU VOTE FOR THEM. DON’T BE LAZY AND LET THE MEDIA DO YOUR RESEARCH FOR YOU.

Otherwise, we’ll be right here, AGAIN…Watching yet another “resurfaced” video.

Does this video show you anything you didn’t already know? Any surprises? Let us know.
